JURASSIC PARK BY TELL TALE GAMES (a filler for those of us waiting for JP4)

I sat down today to write this Jurassic park review only after a whole month of procrastination.The reason for this is that i am a fan boy of many things,but nothing as much as the JP franchise of films.The reasons why are many,but the most compelling reasons were the realism of the dinosaurs and complete attention to detail in the park itself,it had believability! As a child i would dream of the possibility of the park coming on line and  planned  my trip to Isla Nublar. The reason i am saying all this is i felt if i rushed to write this review it would just end up lacking proper depth and possibly not convey my true feelings.So after all that insight into my childhood i can only come to this conclusion,to be very honest i hate tell tales style of game play (all of their games) but i will prob play this game over and over for the rest of my life.I do that with all the JP games,but for a regular gamer or casual fan this is a pass until it is in the bargain bin at a low price.I felt the game conveys the feeling of Jurassic Park (visually) very well but the graphics are WAY lower quality than i would have liked for this 'series'. All i can say is i hear there is going to be a Jurassic Park game on the horizon for early 2012 and for the first time i will be playing something i told myself i NEVER would,a social networking game!...Damn Facebook sucking me back in! for my next blog i will be letting you guys in on the fabled Game Stop trick in gory detail!

GIRLS WHO ARE NOT GAMERS,WHY YOU WORK IN MY GAMESTOP!?!?

There seems to be a growing trait amongst the Game stops in my area,the local owners are putting hot chicks into their store store to appeal to the "nerds" coming and going(in my opinion).WELL dear readers let me tell you that while some if not most of you may enjoy this idea...i think its a piece of shit.I walked into my local gs and there were three gorgeous "scene" type girls working the counter. Each with their pretty smiles and gorgeous black hair(i was dazzled). I could not wait for the chance to get one of these girls under my wing ;). Much like any gamer who is not actually a social retard  the idea of gorgeous gamer girls was an great way to "expand" my horizons.So i walk to the counter and start with a few quick tests like"so..what are playing these days"and the girl looked at me with this weird look and said"um..i don't know about anything in this store i just needed a seasonal job".THAT dear friends is where your core gamer hit the fan!! all joking aside about hitting on her,Game stop and comic book stores are a place for the like minded players of the world to interact socially with other nerds in a judgment free zone.First of all if there are pretty girls everywhere who are not gamers, the male and female gamers will become uncomfortable with the situation.Secondly i shop in these places instead of Wal-mart because of the expertise and knowledge of the gamers working there,not to look at bimbo's.Third,those beautiful people can get a damn job anywhere! why are they taking jobs where they have none of the skill needed? Would you want someone who knows nothing about stereos selling you equipment?hell no! As sad as this is i am seeing the same trend at the local comic shop as well,big breasted woman with cute faces who can not even answer the simplest questions without a manager!This shit has to stop!All in all i will continue to shop at GS because of the LOOP effect you can have with their trade in program,making it easy to never pay for games!!!Well valued readers thanks for taking another look and ill be back soon with an official review of JURASSIC PARK by telltale for the 360. Have "bro" gamers began to ruin gaming?

I have been noticing as of late that gamers are changing.The once proud nerds of old who love the story and majesty of the great classics that sprinkle gaming's past,seem to have moved aside in order to make way for the new "gamer elite". The new gamer of today seems to only care about online interaction and "Head shot ratio" pushing aside many great games so they may play the newest iteration of madden or call of duty.Many of these guys don't even play the single player story mode in these games!What a waste of 65 dollars! I mean i know the experience is personal for every player and that they feel they ARE getting their monies worth but come on....come on.. I miss the days when you  could geek out with someone at the local Game stop, now when you go there all the assholes who made fun of you in school for the love of games are now hanging out at the one safe place there used to be from  mongoloid alpha male types.And you may ask your self,"why do i give a shit?" because the gaming trends set forth by the new gamer and his casual elderly(thanks wii) gaming types are steering the direction of gaming to a point now where games of challenge are being retooled for the masses to be easier to digest.One of the biggest and most irritating examples of this are the resident evil series.While I love the new direction for its action, i miss the days where the game play style created an atmosphere just not present in the current lineup.Another horrible thing happening due to these gamer arch types is development in japan,most developers are backing out of the American gaming market because we seem content only buying fps and sports titles.I know it seems like a lot of whining over nothing but just wait,in the next few years you will see a steep decline in the shipping of eastern development.In closing i say this,nerds i know you are out there but we are slowly having our past time ripped away by trendiness.KEEP BUYING REAL GAMES!!!

DUKE NUKEMFOREVER.!!...OR... why are we so afraid to admit we like it dirty sometimes.

Whats up fellow gamers! Its that time again and as i promised i will be reviewing a game i think did not get the fair credit that title deserves.As you may have guessed this jewel in the shit covered ruff is Duke Nukem forever.I read the now (standard game store magazine) and some reviews around the net after having played the game on both normal and hard mode, and i was shocked to find that people were calling it depraved and boring.Well it does have its share of potty humor but the thing i find so funny is that these people are denouncing the game simply for these childish jokes.The facts are there to support the depravity but who does not enjoy the occasional Caddy Shack or even american pie type humor? I have to say i laughed my ass off for the first half hour of that game as it is VERY self aware as well as very well written for a game.The game play is nothing you have not done somewhere else but its SOLID really solid to be honest,and while being honest this game is made for the fans of duke,so basically take it for what it is.DID YOU LIKE DUKE NUKEM 3D? well if you are a fan you will love the graphical upgrade as well as its firm controls and non stop laughs. The interactivity is mind blowing to be honest, you can touch everything!...even poop...The game stays fresh with constant one liners and driving sections in between major story points.The one real downfall of this game is the horrible load times...i mean fucking awful! Like a full minute some times! I suggest even if temporary that you upload this disk before you even play it,TRUST ME its still slow.The multi-player i admittedly did not play but i have heard good things from like minded people.The achievements are as funny as the game, referencing iconic internet memes,even one of dukes pals is named LEROY JANKINS! LOL,basically because of some shotty reviews dkf is like 30 bucks brand new at GS so pick it up and give it a try.if not there is always game fly!

I spent about 30 hours total on this game and loved 90 percent of it,go out there and have some laughs and tell your snooty gamer friends to lighten up lol

DEAD ISLAND REVIEW BY THE CORE GAMER!

I have to admit that i am a very big zombie junkie! I love anything to do with them so a few months ago when i first watched the breath taking cg trailer i was instantly hooked.When talking about this game i will start with,"why the zombie in me loves this game".As a "purist" i expect my zombies to walk not run,but i do understand the love of the "new type" zombies as well.I was so happy to see that somebody finally got it right,if you are bitten but survive you become "infected". A fast moving raging zombie brutal to the last detail,at the same time if the npc was a corpse or died from the attack they become slow moving "walkers". There are also many other types of zombies but no spoilers here!I never played Borderlands but I'm told the item system is very similar,picking up items(i suggest you look in everything!) can wield you some awesome custom weapons.Dead island really stands out instantly for its gorgeous sometimes jaw dropping graphics,the lush trees as well as the stanky meat hanging off the bones of a Z after beating his body to a pulp are all top notch and worth every penny.At first glance the game play seems shallow,rescue and repeat but after a few hours in, the world really opens up to you and shows you all of her treasures.I have to also note that i have NEVER seen blood that actually runs down hill after busting a wig back,its amazing!So far i have spent about ten hours on the island and it keeps breathing new life into the game as i play it.Also nothing is more gratifying than waiting for that exact moment to slice at a Z and take that funky head of there shoulders before they even know what hit him!.In closing i would like to say that multi-player is not needed to complete the game but man is it fun! you hit the D pad when someone is nearby and you instantly join up and start the carnage co-op style!Nothing is better than saving your homies while they are about to be eaten from behind.Well that's about it for this review,thanks for reading and please ask any questions.I will always try to answer asap.

I would like to note that i am playing this game for the 360 so i claim no knowledge of the pc or ps3 versions..

I would also like to give a quick comment about the achievements since i forgot initially lol.
The achievements seem fair enough and challenging without having those impossible achievements that no one gets lol

first blogg EVER!

I decided to do this blogg to see how well it goes, i hope to go video if i get enough hits.I began this undertaking after being a life long subscriber to video game magazines only to find that more and more of these "gamers" doing the revues have become so obvious with their complaining about every little detail and leaving far more deserving titles in the dusk for the easy score, the halo's and c.o.d's  of the world. I will of course be reviewing these types of titles but i will always specifically review games i feel get a "bum wrap" in the magazines,or are left out all together. to be honest i swear and i am your core gamer so if swearing and honesty is cool with you than we can chill lol. above all else i will be honest about my reviews telling you how much time and energy i used up playing these games as well to give you a better idea as to the decision i made. well thats my intro and im stickin to it true believers!
